Steve,
Why the change from the previous?
Also, will you be able to bring the threads from the old site to this one? I think they would be helpful.
Thanks and keep up the good work,
Eric

Hi, the old forum was always a temp one, set up to first see if there was a demand, then to give us time to get this one sorted.

Sadly there is no way to bring over the threads, But they will remain on MTBrider for reference.

Cheers

Works for me.
I just returned from 3 days of lift access runs and had a blast to say the least. Was able to follow 2 downhillers down everything without any trouble except for when I returned home.
I noticed that the play I had in my main pivot has returned. The last time I used locktight and it went away after tightening it.
Do you know of any other way to permantely fix this and is this a common problem. I have a Meta 5.2 (2006).
Thank you,
Eric

What is actually causing the play? Bolts working loose or wear in the bearings?

The last time it was just the bolts. When I tightened them, the play went away. I am not to comfortable taking the whole swingarm off as I am not the most mechanically inclined person and if I did, I am not sure what I would be looking for. I am going to try tightening again and see how long it last. At the end of the season, I will bing it in to my lbs and see what they say.

Great idea. While singletrackworld might be my "primary" source of techy help, and mlehworld is good for a laugh, CoC is always gonna be a better bet for direct chat about Commies.

I think it's a good idea.

I've been a Commençal owner for 3 years now (yes before they were available in the UK) and I've been really happy with my purchase, but I think I'm in the minority of owning a hardtail  Roll Eyes

I got mine when I was living in Belgium and around the same time 3 of my mates bought Commençal's too, there were some great end of season deals going on at the time.  When I got it no-one in the UK had heard of these bikes and now they're the latest and greatest, however I doubt that I'll be ear-marked as a trend setter  Cheesy

The main change I made to the bike is replacing the Formula B4 brakes with Avid Juicy 7's.  The bike only has 80mm forks, but it handles so well I've not had any complaints with the travel (assuming that the trail is XC oriented of course!)
