I feel you there Rufus,i did feel a bit bad to begin with but i found myself an unselfish out on that one,i just encouraged my other half to get back into her dancing classes,so now she is at that 2-3 nights a week so i use that time to go biking.
So try encouraging your missus to get back into something that she used to love but gave up,and she will prob end up thanking you because you gave her that encouragement she needed.
My missus thanks me all the time, she was a bit sceptical in getting back into it because she had just stopped turning up at the classes and left a bit unexpectedly,so she reckoned that there would be a bit hard feelings there, but i took her to one of the dance groups shows and she got speaking to all her old dance mates and realised that they all would love her back and no all is sweet for me,lol. see i told you it was a completely unselfish act,ha.

I like misunderstanding the last sentence too, beating the other guys at the events haha!

My wife used to ride and train horses, til one flipped out during a manual (obviously different expressions in the horse world, but you catch my drift) and did her back in. She has just gotten into riding again, thanks to a colleague at work.

She wanted to put the money (form her bike sale) into the house, but I said no, it goes towards a new bike, I think she smiled...
We'll see.
I ride 3 times a week (mostly), xc, soon trails again, but we only ride dh together.
We also used to ski/snowboard and longboard (skate) together too... but not anymore!
Ok griping again.

My fiancee rode more than my wife does... something about a wedding, women change.

Uh oh, I'm due to get married in 1 month and 2 days, we go riding most weekends at the mo! Abort! Abort!  Cry

I don't think much will change, we're planning on a week abroad and a week in Wales or Scotland biking for our honeymoon  Cool She doesn't mind too much with the bike upgrading, she normally gets all the hand-me-downs and I've spent more on her bike as my own recently. I fitted a set of Reba SLs, DMR V8s, wider bars and Juicy 3s on her Trek 4500 last night for her bday, hehe  Grin

The disc brakes were what she wanted as well, no pressure!

As soon as the weddings gone I'm after a new tubeless wheelset for my hardtail (probably the new XT 775 jobbies), she'd once again get the old wheelset (Crossrides), it's going to be a fearsome low end Trek  Shocked

I wouldn't ride my burd into battle!

She cant differentiate between tyres and wheels, to her they are the same thing. My bike time is for me and my mates, where we take the piss out of each other, and talk of many wise and important things - like what's worse? Being a soft lad or a jaffa?

Women are for the home, mates are for the bikes. Anyone who disagrees is afraid of one and has none of the other.
