Hi,

Was in talking to Steveb about the furious the other day, its got me really wanting a new bike.

Was wondering is the spec list available to view yet?

Other question is ive read in a few places that the forks are going to my marzocchi 66s, but also that the steerer tube on the bike is 1.5 inch. I thought the 66's were the 1 1/8th steerer tube?

Was having a look at the specs, do you not think that putting juicy 3's is a bit cheap?

The £499 combi comes with these, this bike is almost 5 times the price of it??

Also the same goes for sram x5 shifters, surely they could have stretched till x7.

Other thing is the hubs, have those commencal hubs not been plagued by failures?

So,

Whats the possibilities of commencal producing a beefed up version, especially if you consider you can get a santa cruz vp free for £2600 which has avid codes, x9, hope pro2 hubs  etc.

That Furious looks like a silly expensive bike to put to together frame wise, I also think that they are using it more as a brand driver rather than a bike which you are going to see lots of on the slopes.

The concept of a 'slopestyle' bike is also relatively new so the manufacturers are being cautious, but also producing the best possible bike for the job ( and so the likes of CG can get the results )

Those that are going to get the most out of this bike will get the frameset and build it up big and burly themselves ( I wouldnt be to surprised if individuals shops just offer this bike as a custom build rather than from stock ).

Then keep an eye out in 2008/09 for a more consumer friendly offering....

Just my views though

The geometry is listed in the second link (the VIP one) that Hector-le-Castor posted above.
