Yes you saw it here first ( we are getting quite good at this aren't we! ), These are images of Commencal Superteam rider and current European DH Marathon Champion, Remy Absalon’s 2009 spec Meta 6.

As you would expect The bike has to be physically tough yet lightweight (modifications include a drilled seatpost clamp) to cope with the both the downhill and the uphill sections on many of the Mega Avalanche rounds.

For the Brits out there, Remy is over this weekend for the Kielder Avalanche event.

Coming soon to Mega Avalanche podium soon…

I also like the broken off lock out lever for lower weight. Grin

Nice bike and a very interesting build.

The ROCO shock seems to be either a prototype or is the '09 model. The outer air can is carbon and a tad smaller compared to the '08 model which is Alu. On the prototype ROCO's I've seen they use a shorter lockout lever, but as Bendik mentioned on this shock it seems to be broken. Seems like this shock is somewhere between the '08 and the '09. Anyway, is is a better choice over the RP23 in my opinion. I love this shock!

Also interesting is the choice of tires. Seems he is using Larsen TT tire in the rear. Don't know about the size but it looks like a 2.00. Is that wide enough for DH marathons? No idea what he has on the front but I'll be interested to know. I'm also curious what wheels he is using.

As I heard/read after Sea Otter I think that this carbon air can is a retrofit for the current Roco as a weight saving. Larsen TT in the rear is about to become popular..

Interestingly there's no headtube clamp arrangement. Does this mean they are fixing the head angle for 09 and if so I wonder what angle.

I would think most of the SuperTeam riders get their frames made with their special angles

Um pardon me if this seems naive, but Ive been out of the sport of mountain biking for a few years as I got into motocross. I'm converting back for the good of the planet Smiley

Anyway, I just bought a Meta 666 and am waiting for it arrive and was just perusing reviews of the bike and came across this post. I have to ask what is the deal with the eccentric rear disk brake? Some crazy gear setup?

LOL, let's just hope the camera angle is to blame...

I shared a cable car with Remy at the Mega avalanche in Aple du Huez last week. He had his meta 666 with him then, it had a high roller semi slick on the back and a normal one on the front.
Think he is only running a single front ring but not completely sure.
The bike looks cool in the flesh.
