Finally getting to use the new '07 5.5.3 (luverly!!) And the chain seems to dislike rock gardens ! Spitting the chain off at the bottom of a hill  (insert favourite swear words here!!) at the exit of said rock garden, doesn't fill me with confidence. After a little search, i found this: http://www.wickedracin.com/wickedracin/htmlPages/Tech/WhyBetter.htm
Anyone using one or have any opinions? Thanks.

That looks like it weighs an absolute tonne.

Look at the fat boomerang, and no weight saving machining.

Good idea like, but only good for dual ring.

Yes, weight weenies need not apply Wink. I was thinking of dropping the granny ring as i never use it, so a dual setup would work for me.

I am using Blackspire Stinger with MRP roller (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=867). Great!

To be honest, i've NEVER dropped a chain on my HT and that's using a dual ring setup, just keeping the derallieur as close to the teeth as possable. and that's from riding DH too on it. only time i dropped a chain was when it was in the back of the car, with the wheels off.

dual ring chain guides drop the big ring normally, so u'll be stuck with the granny, maybe better off trying a single ring setup if thats the case...
